Dr. David Su was named president of Lextar in 2008. Prior to his current position, Dr. Su was Sr. VP of AUO, leading the TV Display, Audio-Video Display and Mobile Device Display business units. In 1986, he joined the General Electric (GE) Company, responsible for TFT-LCD project for avionics application. In 1990, he joined Unipac Optoelectronics and set up Taiwan's first TFT-LCD fab. Then Su became the Vice President of Product Development at Unipac from 1995 to 2001. In 2001, Acer Display Technology merged Unipac and was renamed as AUO.
