Alan Eusden joined Corning in 1983 as a financial analyst in the Electronics Division. In 1984, he joined the Telecommunications Products Division as assistant plant controller and then plant controller at the Wilmington, N.C., plant. In 1987, he moved to Corning, N.Y., as TPD’s manager of Manufacturing Control and Analysis.
Eusden moved to the Specialty Materials Manufacturing Division in 1990 as division controller. In 1992 he was appointed director of Finance and Control for the Specialty Materials Sector. At the end of 1994, Eusden relocated to Germany as the general manager of Corning GmbH, including markets in Europe, Russia, South America, Africa and the Middle East.
In April 1998, Eusden was appointed division vice president and deputy general manager of the Telecommunications Products Division and in September 1998 he was appointed division vice president and general manager, TPD. He was elected vice president and general manager, Optical Fiber in January 1999. In December 2002, he was appointed to senior vice president and general manager, Optical Fiber, senior vice president Global Business Support Services in April 2002. In 2005, he was appointed senior vice president, Corning Shared Services and Finance Strategy.
In January 2007, Eusden was appointed to his current position as president, Corning Display Technologies Taiwan.
Eusden holds a bachelor’s degree in economics with a concentration in environmental studies from Williams College and a master’s degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He is a member of several community and business organizations. |
